On April 20, the Alternative Reference Rates Committee (ARRC) announced the three key guiding principles it will utilize when considering the conditions it believes are necessary for an ARRC-recommended forward-looking Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR) term rate. These principles build on the ARRC’s March 23 announcement and ongoing ARRC discussions, and will inform the ARRC’s continued consideration of a SOFR-based term rate.
