Summary
Kroll Bond Rating Agency is seeking an experienced commercial asset-backed securities (ABS) credit analyst to specialize in sectors such as solar PPA and lease, PACE, equipment lease, small business loans, marine container and railcar leasing, whole business securitizations and other non-traditional assets. The position will be based out of KBRA’s New York office.
Key Job Requirements
- Perform transaction analysis including originator/servicer evaluation, loan pool analysis, modeling and analysis of bond structure, and review of legal structure and documentation.
- Facilitate the preparation of credit memoranda and presentation of transactions to rating committees.
- Serve as lead analyst and primary contact to clients, structuring banks and investors on transactions.
- Lead the development and publication of rating criteria and methodologies, individual transactions reports, and special topic and market commentaries.
- Serve as industry expert for one or more asset classes.
- Work with the surveillance team in monitoring and updating ratings on existing transactions.
- Write articles for publication on individual transactions as well as special topic and market commentaries.
- Mentor and foster the development of junior analysts.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Key Qualifications
- 8+ years of demonstrated success in performing credit analysis on ABS transactions at a rating agency, buy-side, credit research, banking or other similar firm.
- Strong oral and written communications skills (writing sample required).
- Advanced Excel, Python, R and Intex skills are a plus.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with partners in a collaborative environment.
Salary Range
The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 to $160,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
