New data from S&P Global found that global issuance across the four major sectors (ABS, CLOs, CMBS and RMBS) totaled $54 billion in September bringing year-to-date issuance to $333 billion. While September’s numbers were the highest since February and similar to the $131 billion total issuance in September 2019, total issuance is still down 21% compared to 2019. ABS issuance totaled $29 billion, CLO issuance totaled $11 billion, CMBS issuance totaled $3 billion, and RMBS issuance totaled $10 billion.
