Washington, DC and New York, NY — 2/23/2026— The Structured Finance Association (SFA) and Bloomberg Index Services Limited (Bloomberg Indices) today announced a strategic collaboration to develop and launch a new index designed to track the performance of credit securities across asset classes. The index, which will be administered by Bloomberg Indices, will serve as a credible industry benchmark, filling a long-standing gap in market infrastructure for securitized products.
The new index will provide market participants with a consistent, transparent, and credible benchmark for evaluating performance and risk across securitized credit markets. By combining SFA’s broad representation of the securitization ecosystem with Bloomberg Indices global data infrastructure, index governance, and distribution capabilities, the collaboration is designed to integrate the index directly into daily market workflows via the Bloomberg Terminal.
“The structured finance industry needs a durable, credible benchmark that reflects how the markets actually function today,” said Michael Bright, Chief Executive Officer of the Structured Finance Association. “By bringing together SFA’s deep industry expertise and Bloomberg Indices’ scale, data capabilities, and distribution, we are creating an index built on industry credibility, rigorous governance, and the transparency the market demands and deserves.”
“We’re excited to collaborate with the SFA on this important new index,” said Nick Gendron, Global Head of Fixed Income Index Product Management, Bloomberg Index Services Limited. ”As a global leader in fixed income indexing, we remain committed to delivering transparent, robust benchmarks and working with SFA on this new offering allows us to help market participants navigate the dynamic securitized products landscape.”
The initiative represents a long-term strategic collaboration between SFA and Bloomberg, aligned around shared goals of transparency, standardization, and market confidence in securitized credit markets. The indices are designed to improve price discovery, comparability, and benchmarking across securitized products, supporting better-informed investment decisions and more effective risk management
Additional details on index methodology and launch timing will be announced in the coming months.
