Certain Buy-Now, Pay-Later (BNPL) lenders are beginning to report to credit bureaus. Affirm – one of the largest BNPL lenders – will begin reporting to Experian on April 2. While this change only affects Affirm loans and Experian credit reports, it could signal a shift in the industry. BNPL usage has increased in popularity during the pandemic amongst consumers – though there remains little visibility into how much debt borrowers could be carrying.
