After a series of bankruptcies and fraud cases, regional banks have been writing off bad loans over the course of the last two weeks, which was followed by increased use of the Federal Reserve’s repo facility. As less-diversified regional banks impacted by these actions saw their share values drop, investors raised concerns of larger risks potentially emerging.
