The Bureau of Labor Statistics released the Consumer Price Index report for the month of July and found that inflation rose by 0.2 percent in the month of July and year-over-year inflation increased by 2.7 percent. These changes were slightly below expectations and are allowing markets to be more optimistic about a September rate cut.
