U.S. Senate Housing Provision Requires Large Investors to Sell

The latest bipartisan effort to increase affordability in the housing market includes a requirement for large single-family institutional investors to sell newly built homes within seven years. Trade groups such the National Association of Home Builders and the National Multifamily Housing Council sent letters to the White House and lawmakers opposing the new proposal, along with Rep. French Hill expressing concerns over the bill.
