Joe Astorina
Senior Vice President/Head of ABS Research
Joseph Astorina is a Senior Vice President and Research Analyst in AB’s Structured Asset Research Group, overseeing asset-backed securities (ABS) research, including fundamental and relative-value research. He previously spent 12 years at Barclays as a Director in US Securitization Research, where he was responsible for all aspects of securitized strategy regarding non-mortgage ABS, including publishing for the flagship weekly publication, ad-hoc reports on developing trends within the sector and primers on various ABS asset classes. Prior to joining Barclays, he developed rating criteria and assigned ratings for auto and related securitizations at Fitch, performed cash-flow analytics and deal structuring and execution for term ABS transactions at Prudential Securities, and worked in the cross-border securitization group at Credit Lyonnais. He holds a BS in business from Georgetown University and an MBA in finance and economics from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Location: New York
