Large U.S. Banks Push to Scale Back Basel III Capital Proposals

In response to the industry and lawmaker pushback, the joint banking regulators are looking to scale back the proposed Basel III Endgame capital rules. The proposed rules, as written, would require large U.S. banks to hold significantly more capital and ultimately push up the cost of credit.
