On September 27, SEC Chair Gary Gensler testified before the House Financial Services Committee (HFSC). He addressed questions regarding AI, crypto, and the Commission’s proposals on swing pricing and predictive data analytics. Additionally, Gensler was pressed on market concerns regarding the re-proposed rule on Conflicts of Interest in Securitizations. In response, Gensler advised that normal course hedging activities are not intended to be disrupted by the rule.
