FHFA Releases 2023 Scorecard for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac
On January 4, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) released its 2023 Scorecard for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. This scorecard focuses on goals that will aim to increase affordability, address fair lending issues, modernize the single-family appraisal processes, and identify climate risks. FHFA Director Sandra Thompson stated in a press release that, “The 2023 Scorecard builds on the progress made in 2022 to strengthen the Enterprises’ capital position while advancing equitable and sustainable access to homeownership and rental housing.” Read more.
