On June 6, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation submitted a draft rule to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs that would re-examine the supplementary leverage ratio (SLR) for banks. This proposal follows the recent opinions expressed by other federal financial regulators looking to simplify the SLR requirement and other capital requirements.
