The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced, in a press release on April 17, the appointment of Deborah Jeffrey as Inspector General, effective May 7, 2023. As the SEC’s Inspector General, she will provide oversight to the SEC’s programs. Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Political Science from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. She was previously Inspector General at AmeriCorp after 25 years in private law practice.
