Moments ago the House of Representatives passed the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act of 2020 on a 388-5 vote. The measure has been referred to as “Phase 3.5” of COVID-19 economic relief. As referenced in SFA’s April 21 Alert, the measure replenishes the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) loan and grant programs and provides support to hospitals and medical facilities. Additionally, the bill provides funding to expand federal, state, and local coronavirus testing efforts.

President Trump is expected to sign the measure into law tomorrow.
