On November 15, leaders of the top financial regulators testified before the Senate Banking Committee followed by testimony before the House Financial Services Committee on November 16. The four witnesses included Federal Reserve Vice Chair of Supervision Michael Barr, National Credit Union Administration Chair Todd Harper, FDIC Acting Chair Martin Gruenberg, and Acting OCC Comptroller Michael Hsu. The regulators addressed questions surrounding the FTX bankruptcy, Volcker Rule, recent issue of CFPB funding, lending thresholds for the Community Reinvestment Act, and climate change risks.
