President Trump Signs Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act

Provided by Structured Finance Association

President Donald Trump signed H.R. 266, the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, into law. The legislation, which replenishes funds for the small-business loan program and allocates more money for health-care providers and virus testing, was passed by the House of Representatives yesterday and the Senate this past Tuesday. Lawmakers from both parties are already talking about future legislation to assist with the pandemic’s economic impact. However, the measure signed by the President today is likely the last legislative action for at least several weeks as Congress is not scheduled to return to Washington until May 4 at the earliest.

SFA will continue to engage with Congress as future legislation develops and keep members informed of any updates.
