Key Financial Regulators Release Unified Agendas

On June 13, the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) published its Spring 2023 Unified Agenda of Regulatory Actions, which is a comprehensive list of actions federal agencies plan to pursue. Released on a semiannual basis, these Unified Agendas provide insight regarding proposed rules that may be issued in the near- or long-term future. Financial regulators that released their Unified Agendas relevant to the industry include those from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Several proposals, which SFA remains actively engaged on, are expected to be finalized this fall and include the private funds rule, mandated climate disclosures, and cybersecurity related disclosures.
