The World Bank Group (WBG) intends to make securitization a continuous part of their funding strategy as they work to attract private capital into emerging markets and development finance. The International Finance Corporation (IFC) securitized $510 million of emerging market corporate loans into a collateralized loan obligation. The deal had 57 borrowers, with the senior tranche paying a coupon of 3-month SOFR +1.3 percent. These loans were made in local currencies and have a series of guarantees which made the transaction more attractive to institutional investors.
