On March 2, The Treasury Department announced that it will not take enforcement actions against Americans or American companies that do not provide beneficial ownership information under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). According to the WSJ, by March 21, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network will provide an interim rule with new guidance on the CTA, likely narrowing the scope to only foreign reporting companies.
