Treasury Secretary Discusses Options to Improve U.S. Housing Affordability

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told the Washington Examiner in an interview that the Trump Administration plans to declare a national housing emergency this Fall. Housing costs and mortgage rates have risen since the pandemic, and housing affordability has been a major platform for the Republican Party.
