Vice President, Government Relations
Ben Parish brings a decade of political and policy experience in the financial services industry from inside and outside the beltway. His reputation as a bipartisan collaborator with strong relationships on both sides of the aisle puts him in an excellent position to help accomplish the Structured Finance Association’s advocacy objectives on and off Capitol Hill.
Ben comes to the Structured Finance Association from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) where he oversaw NAIFA’s Political Action Committee (NAIFA PAC), which was the top-ranked insurance PAC in contributions during the 2016 and 2018 election cycles, contributing over $4 million to federal candidates. Prior to moving to Washington, D.C Ben was a Legislative Assistant to California State Senator Joel Anderson (R-San Diego) handling insurance, pension, retirement, health, and public safety issues.
He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and earned a Capital Fellows Graduate Certificate in Applied Policy and Government from the California Senate Fellows Program.
