The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) finalized its rule aimed at standardizing disclosures made by public companies regarding cybersecurity risk management, strategy, governance and incidence reporting. In line with SFA’s advocacy and recommendations, the Commission has moved to exempt ABS issuers from the final rule. However, servicers that are public companies will be required to comply.
