A new report by S&P Global found that year-to-date issuance across the four major sectors (ABS, CLO, CMBS and RMBS) reached $397 billion in October. While robust and impressive given the slowdown earlier in the year, that number is still down 19% compared to the same period in 2019, according to the rating agency. In October, ABS contributed most of the supply with $25 billion. RMBS issuance was robust at $17 billion and CLO issuance totaled $14 billion. CMBS issuance was $6 billion for the month.
