The Structured Finance Association Opens the Canadian Stock Market

On Wednesday, May 22, the Association team was invited by the Toronto Stock Exchange to open daily trading for the Canadian stock market. The market opening took place in connection with SFIG Canada 2019, our annual conference for the Canadian structured finance market. A Women in Securitization (WiS) luncheon followed the stock market opening, with the largest number of attendees to date for this annual gathering at McCarthy’s offices in Toronto. 

SFIG Canada concluded yesterday, having attracted over 500 participants. Conference panels focused on Canadian market and economic conditions and highlighted central themes around the effects of global regulatory divergence and political developments.
