On Tuesday, June 30, SFA submitted feedback on the European Commission’s Capital Markets Union High Level Forum Report. SFA strongly supported the report’s recommendation that Article 5(1)(e) of the EU Securitization Regulations which requires institutional investors to verify that issuers made available the specified loan level data applicable to EU issuers should not apply on non-EU deals. SFA previously sought guidance from European regulators on whether the EU Securitization Regulations requires institutional investors to verify compliance with transparency requirements when EU originators, sponsors or securitization and Securitization Special Purpose Entity (SSPEs) are not involved.
