On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve (Fed) announced that it will expand the number and types of entities that would be eligible to use the Municipal Liquidity Facility (Facility). Under the expanded parameters, states will now be able to have at least two cities or counties directly issue notes to the Facility, regardless of population, and each governor would be allowed to appoint two state-wide government-funded issuers who would be able to directly use the Facility. In connection with the announcement, the Fed also released an updated term sheet and an updated FAQ. Learn More.
