According to Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase is contemplating selling its AARP credit card portfolio after nearly three decades of partnership. As the largest credit card issuer in the country, JPMorgan’s outstanding credit card debt totaled $158 billion at the end of the second quarter. Alliance Data is one of the more likely buyers, as they are hoping to build their credit card receivables from $17.6 billion to $20 billion by end of year.
