The role will be key in supporting various critical processes that the structured products team carries out on behalf of our clients. It will also support the different structured asset sectors in their credit analysis work as demanded by deal flow. This position is intended for the development of an associate that could later take on a full-time role in one of the structured products research sectors and enhance our longer-term leadership bench.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the team’s work product in conjunction with the head of structured products research for stress testing, impairments, periodic management updates, and other key processes.
- Conduct structured cross-sector fundamental analysis and special projects, leveraging the work of individual sector analysts.
- Support the regulatory and competitive data analysis involved in the ongoing shaping of our regulatory and competitive positioning strategies.
- Support the new deal analysis process through modeling of transactions and recommendation development across sectors, according to deal flow demand.
- Support our surveillance process and automation initiatives across structured sectors.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Required:
- Undergraduate degree required.
- 3-5 years of experience in investment analysis.
- Strong quantitative skills.
- Expert user of Microsoft Office applications, primarily Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- MBA or CFA strongly preferred
- Programming skills highly desirable (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
