The Consumer Price Index came in at 2.8% for the 12-months ending in February, rising by 0.2 percent on a monthly basis, lower than the 0.5 percent increase in January. February’s monthly and annual inflation rates were both 0.1 percentage point lower than economist expected. The Federal Open Market Committee meets next week, and according to CNBC, the Federal Reserve is expected to hold rates between 4.25-4.5 percent.
