On January 15, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released their Consumer Price index (CPI) and found that the metric increased by 0.4 percent in December 2024 and that year-over-year inflation increased by 2.9 percent. According to Reuters, no rate cut is expected during the January FOMC meeting.
